Chaboche Louis XVI Salamandre £4200 Inc VAT
Chaboche was the inventor of the Salamandre style of stove. It was designed for burning coal and had a complex but very clever arrangement of inner cast iron plates which channelled the smoke round and out of the rear flue. Some of which were designed to be removed in situ to clear out the channels, sadly most are never cleaned out and would have become quite dangerous burning coal. Fast forward to today and we completely take them apart and clean everything and convert them to burn Bioethanol which requires no chimney or flue.
This particular stove is very ornate and is very special in that it has the large metal trivet across the front which was designed to keep things warm and the smaller round metal trivet at the top which sits on the handle. These are the parts that are mostly missing when we go to look at this model so we were very fortunate to find one complete.
Comes complete with a 1.5 litre oblong bioethanol box. No chimney required.
